JULY EURO BIKE of the MONTH
Another month under our belts. Where is this year going??? One of our Grandview Euro Bike Night regulars,
Art Eberle, allowed these young ladies to saddle up on his
1994 BMW K75S complete with sidecar. These bikes were produced from 1985-1995 and were known for their durability. The engine, a liquid cooled, inline, fuel injected, 3 cylinder design is often described as "bulletproof". It is not unusual for these bikes to see 200,000 miles before needing any significant repair. Do you think that's why Erin Small (bike) and Brittany Hickman (sidecar) were all smiles? Me either.
RAFFLE WINNERS
Our raffle continues to be a big success thanks to our many generous sponsors. We had gift certificates to some of our great, local restaurants and shops, t-shirts and 4-packs of movie tickets to the one night only theatrical cameo of the film
Long Way Down. This film is the story of Ewan McGregor of
Star Wars fame and his buddy, Charley Boorman. The two of them rode their BMW GSs on a 15,000 mile trek from the northernmost tip of Scotland to the southernmost tip of South Africa. The documentary's television debut is on August 2nd on the
Fox Reality Channel. Congratulations to all of the raffle winners and another big thank you to our sponsors!
